This is Vinny & Ive been dj'ing now for 7 years, initially standing in for a friend in Stranos back in the day's of "the Mammies". I used to watch the dj & learn, then 1 night I got my chance & fell in love with it straight away & loved the buzz. Having secured a regular gig in the bar this led to gigs in Liquid night club, Tribes & Stage Door. In the club's I like to play to everyones taste be it RnB, Dance, Pop, Chart & Retro.
I am heavily influenced by Old School, American Freestyle from the late 80's, Anthem Rock, Swing RnB, Mash Up & Cheesy Pop coz im a savoury kinda guy. I will always play Whitney "I wanna dance with somebody". To me it's the greatest pop song ever produced and defies anybody to stand still. It's also a good omen for my sets & I play it for good luck. I have no shame at all so if I have it ill play it. Though I dont do club land, Trance or House misic. I leave that to the professionals & I dont play the same song twice.

The Galway heat will take place in The Stage Door, Woodquay and The BirdCage @ The Cellar on Friday 3rd October.
All contestants must self identify as being gay men, be over 18 and willing to participate fully in the event. Each winner will represent the venue or association and is expected to take part in the ‘civic element’ of the competition. Winners will be given sponsorship cards to raise monies for the chosen charities and 100% of all funds raised are given to the nominated groups.
Winners will not only compete in the final but will also be assessed on an interview round, their fundraising and by a text vote. The Final addjudicators include high profile media and fashion experts. The contestants themselves get to choose their favourite as well.

Her big break came when she played Outrageous in the town hall in 2001 and since then has played gigs in the Blackbox, GPO, the Mansion House in Dublin and Tribes where a small misprint led to the now infamous stage name Lil Monica. Through EDEN she has played in venues in Sligo and Bubblelicious in Limerick.
She is influenced by funky house, deep house, commercial, indie, pop and chart all of which are a staple part of her set. Maria is also currently one of the resident djs in the Stage Door in Woodquay. | | | Miss Kristin Kapelli | | Kristin Kappelli
Not content with reviving the wonderful works of Mama Cass, Diva-at-large Kristin Kapelli is getting ready to take on power ballads from every decade since popular music began with her shows at The Dragon and the Front Lounge and her long-running performances at the Tassel Club. Phew! Does this woman ever sleep?
Some of you may know Kristin as the winner of the George’s Starz in their Eyez competition a few years ago, but countless more will know her from her one-woman show, where she performed the hits of Mama Cass. “During one round of the Starz in their eyez competition, I sang Alicia Keyes’ Falling”. Kristin says and afterwards one of the judges remarked “Honey, you may be singing Alicia Keys, but you’re Mama Cass. So after the show we talked and it kinda snowballed from there. PBS in the US started filming us but unfortunately, because of President Bush’s decision to cut the networks funding by 40%, they ended up scrapping it. | | | Dj Tonic's profile: | | Phinit AKA Tonic took a big turn to a further study of Communication Arts in a college & started to claim the various skills of Radio & Television production. However, based on his telent of Club DJing which he has taught himself since he was 15, plus the passion of Electronic music. Tonic gained himself a reputation in a club scene in Bangkok where he was born & became one of the first members of the Pioneer Pro DJ Team in 2002 which gave him chances to share his music passion and DJ skills with a numbers of local and international DJs.
His music specialty is mainly considered House but Disco & Classic anthems have always been thrown into his set due to his widely diverse of music taste and the variety of partygoers.
